ELIXIR – use and value to the NERC community
ELIXIR-UK is carrying out a survey to help it in developing its future strategy. The questionnaire addresses the level of awareness of ELIXIR’s and ELIXIR-UK’s activities in the UK and how it can best engage the wider UK community with an interest in ELIXIR’s development, activities and facilities.
ELIXIR-UK invites all researchers who make use of international data resources in the life sciences (including those relevant to environmental science) to complete this short questionnaire (10 questions). The questionnaire can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Z28BSVG.
This workshop will provide a forum for sharing and exploring training experiences, collaborative ideas and best practice in themes that are pivotal to modern data-rich biology: including bioinformatics, computational biology and computing. The workshop will allow participants to connect with each other at a variety of levels, and will help to establish a long-term community of trainers. This workshop has been developed under the aegis of ELIXIR-UK and GOBLET. ELIXIR-UK aims to galvanise the training community within the UK and to connect this community to other training activities across ELIXIR-Europe; GOBLET extends the networking and sharing opportunities to those involved in bioinformatics, computational biology and computing training around the globe. The workshop’s organisers are individuals involved with and passionate about training.
